Well my 35mm film management system is clearly up the Wazoo. Thought I'd got XP2 sat in the voigtlander minox clone. Nope. It was Tri-X. Did manage to finish it and both rolls of weird Harman. Phoenix 1 and the new and funky Azure switch. Went round a garden with colourful flowers so no idea what is going to happen with the Switch.

Decided to replace the duff olympus compact with an OG Trip 35. Glad i did. Does feel so solid and well made. Had a few before but ended up selling them to get something 'better' but not sure whether that paid off. No batteries to go flat. Still got a decent meter and they seem to be the cock roach of cameras.
I did read someone has worked out how to repair the Selenium meters when they've gone weird as well.
The cheap olympus compact is definitely a bit of a bust. It worked ok in black and white and foggy conditions so you didn't really mind or notice how weirdly OOF it was in many places and inconsistently. With better light and colour it's er well pants frankly. Waste of dev and scan costs.
Hi-matic AF2 turned pretty good so that's a good alternative to the dodgy Lomo MC-A as it's a very similar size, weight and design. Also AF and manual wind.
Headed out to try and use this Harman switch so of course it lashed it down. Got some harman phoenix 1 in another camera to use as well to see how they both do. Both slightly weird films so I thought it would be good try them side by side.
Gave up and headed home so of course sun is out now 🙄
Turns out the water proof minolta had kentmere in it and not a colour film. Went around taking photos of colourful things as spring has sprung. Bright yellow daffodils and all sorts. BUM.
Turns out theres a zoo in holmes chapel. Seems a really strange place to have a zoo.
Having watched this yesterday I think it's made me realise I much prefer the results of the Pentax 17. If a bargain new batch MC-A pops up I might get another. It does have personality and interesting features and it seems unfinished business to have only shot one roll with one.
Can people in the UK search on Ebay for Rover 75 and tell me whether the red one with the engine damaged comes up in the search for them?
Trying to find out whether it's just me that it doesn't or there is a problem. I'm using the website so I could do with folk that both use the app and the website to try please.
Nearly ended up with a 2008 beetle cabrio today. One of my dad’s ancient friends is giving up driving at 97 and is selling her car. Bit of a bargain at £1200 too. If it had been an auto I think i would have been more disappointed. Its a manual and I’m now too lazy to change my own gears 🙃
Ooh. Looks like the Harman Switch announcement is March 5th.
Yet another pair of gardening gloves that are supposed to be bramble proof have arrived. The last pair are bramble proof ish on the palm but not the back so you get spiked and scratched on the back of your hand. Dumb or what.
Found there's actual ratings for gloves and how tough they are. The new ones are A5 rating. You can get to A9 which is tougher still. If A5 aren't up to it then I'll be after some A9s. They tend to look more like abattoir worker accoutrements so I'd rather not.
Weather better improve soon otherwise this entire roll in the Snapic is going to be just photos of the cat.
The permanent river down my road due to someone's land drainage being crap is now frozen. Hark the sound of endless wheelspinning. It's -3 at the moment. Those already moving barely notice but those trying to turn into the road are finding it difficult to get anywhere. The tiny incline claims many victims.
So had a door and two windows fitted after the ' incident' from months ago at last. Door is wrong colour inside. Wrong lock type is fitted. Frame drains are missing so porch now lets water in at both door frame corners.
Two trim strips are loose or falling off one window. The other window has a manufacturing defect in the glass. The glazing bars are also scuffed so it looks like the frame was dragged over an edge at an angle.
